Prof. Matlack gave a talk on “Locally Resonant Effective Phononic Crystals for Subwavelength
Vibration Control of Torsional Cylindrical Waves” at ASME IDETC-CIE 2022, St. Louis, Missouri. The talk was based on the lab’s recent paper published in the Journal of Vibration and Acoustics.
Ph.D. student Sangwon Park also presented his work at the conference. Sangwon presented his work on “Band Gap Resonances in Periodic Bilayer Beams.”
