I currently hold a four-year Research Fellowship in the Tribology Group at Imperial College London to perform independent research, and I am visiting the WPM lab for a semester. If you would like to collaborate with me, my expertise is in the nonlinear dynamic testing and modeling of jointed structures and I am interested in tribology (physics of frictional contacts), nonlinear dynamics (how friction affects the global dynamics of structures) and wave propagation (ultrasound and solitary waves).

The aim of my work is to gain a better understanding of the friction contacts in assembled structures subjected to vibration. This is needed to enable a reliable stress and fatigue analysis of the components. During my PhD, I was involved with the structural dynamics of aircraft engines, with a special focus on their nonlinear contact interface behaviour.

I am currently visiting the WPM lab since I recently started collaborating with Prof. Matlack on metamaterials (granular crystals). While at the WPM lab, I will design a build an experimental rig to test the capability of solitary waves to monitor friction for vibration applications.
