Allison Rzepka, a Ph.D. candidate in our lab, recently published a journal paper in the International Journal of Mechanical Sciences and this work was featured in a MechSE news article! Her work introduces a novel class of energy absorbing composites for protective technologies. This work was made possible through collaboration with other MechSE professors Sameh Tawfick and Bill King, as well as fellow Ph.D. mechanical engineering students Hyeongkeun Kim, Christopher Conway and University of Colorado Colorado Springs assistant professor Sezer Ozerinc.
