Ph.D. Candidate Ganesh Patil presented his recent research work on “Frictional instability: a nonlinear mechanism to control shear wave responses in rough contact-based metamaterials” at the 183rd meeting of the Acoustical Society of America held in Nashville, Tennessee. His presentation was part of a special session on Tunable Metamaterials.
