Ph.D. Students Ganesh Patil and Betsy Smith from the WPM Lab along with Dr. Benjamin Goldsberry from the Applied Research Lab at UT Austin organized a special session on “Tunable Metamaterials” at the 183rd meeting of the Acoustical Society of America held in Nashville, Tennessee. The session was part of the Technical Committee on Structural Acoustics and Vibrations. This was the second time WPML graduate students have organized symposia at national conferences. Previously, a special session on “nonlinear phononics and metamaterials” was organized by Ganesh in ASA’s 182nd meeting in Denver.
