Ph.D. students Ganesh Patil and Betsy Smith presented their latest research work at the 181st meeting of the Acoustical Society of America, held in Seattle Washington. Ganesh’s presentation was on – “Emergence of stegotons in phononic materials with strongly nonlinear rough contacts“, while Betsy’s was on – “Wave propagation in a continuum nonlinear phononic material with soft nonlinear elastic layers“.
